Step 2: Now you will see the Registry Editor. Double click HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE. Under this you will find SOFTWARE. Again Double Click it. The Path is HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE

Step 3: Under SOFTWARE you will find Microsoft. You follow the path as HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Explorer\Advanced\Folder

Step 4: Again under Folder section you will find Hidden. In Hidden section click on NOHIDDEN. See in the right hand side. You can see two registry values CheckedValue and DefaultValue. Make sure that both of them have the values as 2. Till now you have followed the path: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Explorer\Advanced\Folder\Hidden\NOHIDDEN

Step 5: If you find that the values are wrong. For example if the value of CheckedValue is 1 then double click on it. It will show a window where you can edit the value as 2. Press enter.

Step 6: Now under the Hidden Section Go to SHOWALL. See in the right hand side. You can again see two registry values CheckedValue and DefaultValue. Make sure that CheckedValue has the value 1 and DefaultValue has the value 2.

Now go to folder options and set the option as Show hidden files and folders. You can see the hidden files and folders. If you are not able to see the hidden files, you have to repeat the entire process after ending the explorer.exe process from task manager.

After completing the whole process go to run, type explorer and press enter. Now you will have access to your hidden folders and files. If you have any doubts please don’t hesitate.

**Intall the Winrar after downloading so you may able to extract all RAR files. (It’s for future use also so don’t uninstall it, it’s a very usefull tool,okay? ^_^)

3)Extract the USB Security Disk RAR file after installing the WinRAR (do it by right-clicking the RAR file, select “Extract Files Here”, You may also use the option “Extract Files” so you’ll be able to choose manually where to place the extracted files in your hard drive).

4) After extracting the file, you’ll be seeing 2 files there [(1) Setup.exe, (2) Serial key text file] Run/Open the Setup.exe file to install USB Disk Security.

5) Run the Application after installation, in it’s window, you’ll see tabs in the upper part of it like:

INFORMATION, USBSHIELD, USBSCAN, MEMORYSHIELD, QUARANTINE, REPAIDSYSTEM, AUTOSTART

6) Click the “INFORMATION” tab, You’ll see the License Status of it as ” Evaluation Version”, Click the “REGISTER” button then put the SERIAL KEY (Found at the text file) in the space provided, AS FOR THE “NAME”  put whatever name you want.

7) Then you’re done! you now have a full version of USB Disk Security! ^_^

***PLEASE NOTE HOWEVER, you may also experience a revert in the LICENSE STATUS everytime you restart your PC/LAPTOP or Everytime the Application detects Viruses/Malwares/Worms (Yes, it will revert back to “Evaluation Version”). But NO WORRIES my friends, just enter the SAME SERIAL KEY found it the text file, then it’ll be FULL VERSION again. ^_^ So, my advise to you all is place the SERIAL KEY TEXT FILE in the FOLDER of the USB Disk Security afer intallation(Example: C:\Program Files\USB Disk Security). For easy Access/Reference.

Now save the text file with extension .vbs, text file icon will change to script icon  . This file can be saved with any name. If you have done every thing correct you can listen to the voice by clicking on the script. If you get an error message just retype quotes  ( “  ” ) with the ones already in the text from your own keyboard.

Step 2

Once the Script is ready and working copy it to your startup folder. Startup folder can be found from the start menu or directly entering the following to address bar.

For Windows Vista & Windows 7- C:\Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup.( replace the Username by the name of current logged in user) for instance, in my case it is C:\Users\Sourojit\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup

Step 3 (Optional)

Once the file is copied in the above location your task is finished. You can disable windows startup sound as it may interfere with the narrate welcome message.

You will get this narration only on times when the system is rebooted but not at times of locking and unlocking the system. Performing this task is easy and totally safe. Only thing that you have to take care is to get the script work correctly before placing it in startup folder else no effect will take place.

Windows 8 interface is in talks since when its official teaser was released. We have already seen How to transform Windows 7 to Windows 8 bringing Live Tiles interface.

And now, even Windows Xp users can take advantage of transforming their OS interface into Windows 8. Though, not bringing all the sophisticated features like Windows 8 Live Tiles but atleast imitate appearance by tweaking many basic features.

Windows Transformation Pack named “Eight Remix 2.0” developed by Niwardsoft is capable of turning Windows Xp to Windows 8.

How to transform Windows Xp to Windows 8

Download Eight Remix XP

Installer is just 19.2 MB but takes 182 MB of space on Hard Disk after installation. It replaces almost all system files responsible for Windows XP Visual appearance.

Make sure you check on “create restore point” as we are going to change System Files. Installation takes quite long to complete and you will need to restart the system to take effect all the changes made.

Right from Logon Screen, you will start experiencing changes visually. Start button, Taskbar and Window Interface is given a glassy look. There is a ‘Show Desktop’ button like thing at the right-end of taskbar but it isn’t actually. You can install Show Desktop button on XP however afterwards.

Program features a nice tool called “Reloader” which will reset all the icons and appearance changes in case you or Windows Update mess up something with system files.

Also, it has clean uninstall option which will remove all the components of Remix Theme and revert back to default Windows XP theme restoring all default theme files in case you feel like.
